Our shows provide a unique opportunity to see beautiful cats and kittens of many of the 39 CFA recognized pedigreed breeds up close. Please do not touch any of the cats without asking permission from the owner to avoid accidentally passing germs from one cat to another. If you or your children would like to touch a cat, many owners will be glad to help you do so safely. You may take photos at the show. However, please be considerate and do not use a flash without asking the owner. By talking with the local, regional and national breeders/owners, you and your family can learn about the unique characteristics and personalities of each breed. Who knows, your family might just find the perfect companion! If you already have a cat at home, a CFA show is a great place to shop for everything from feathers to scratching posts, usually at prices well below those of your local pet store.

Keep an eye out for the blue buttons worn by some exhibitors. These identify CFA Ambassadors who will be happy to answer your questions. Visit the judging rings, especially during the "finals", to see the best cats and listen to the expert opinions of CFA judges. If a judge is not engaged in the handling and evaluation of cats, they will be pleased to answer any questions you may have as well.
