CFA Gulf Shore Region map The Foot Of The Rockies Cat Club (FRCC) is a Colorado based 501(c)(7) non-profit organization that is affiliated with The Cat Fanciers Association, Inc. We are part of the CFA Gulf Shore Region (Region 3) including Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas (South of the 38th parallel), Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee (West of the Tennessee River), Texas and Wyoming.
The original constitution for the Foot of the Rockies Cat Club was adopted on May 9, 1970. CFA accepted the FRCC application for membership in May 1970 and chartered it as CFA club No. 362, the first CFA club in Colorado. The first CFA show in Colorado put on by the FRCC was held October 16 & 17, 1971 at the Adams County Fairgrounds and had 211 entries.
Today, the FRCC produces two CFA licensed cat shows each year including both pedigreed and household pet cats. Our early April show is traditionally our larger show and attracts many regional and national exhibitors. Our late September is traditionally a smaller show although regional and national exhibitors do attend. The shows are generally held in the Denver, CO area.
In addition to the shows, we have several meeting annually to socialize and conduct the business of producing our shows and other CFA business. You are cordially invited to join us for "happy hour" and/or the business meeting at any of our meetings. Please check the Event Calendar on our home page for the dates and locations.
